Papers accepted for the SMARTERCARE workshop

Two papers discussing habit formation triggered by mHealth digital interventions were accepted for the SMARTERCARE workshop co-organized with the AIxAI 2021 conference. One paper presents the results of a survey on users’ perceptions about the appropriate context for intervention notification, aspects driving their motivation, and their ability to perform a selected activity in different circumstances. The other paper introduces a simulator that mimics patient responses to activity suggestions based on Fogg’s behavior model, and it presents the results of an experiment where we used supervised and reinforcement learning methods to learn the best time of sending the patient prompts.
